Life was beginning to be a bit less dull as the days went on. He now had a daughter by the name of Zuora from his previous relationship, he had an amazing girlfriend, whom was pregnant with his child by the way. And curiosity mixed with excitement plagued him daily. Was it a boy? was it a girl? and what element will he or she bend if at all? Fire or water? maybe not at all? well either way, zuko knew he'd love his child the same no matter what. All of this poked at his brain so much that he'd space out and...."fire lord zuko..." he heard a man whisper over his shoulder. "sir?..." quickly looking over his shoulder before looking ahead of himself again, he remembered he was in a meeting with the other nations, "oh uh....what were we...talking about again?...." Everyone in the room sighed before repeating previous statements and continuing on with the meeting.
Once the meeting ended, Zuko left the room with a heavy sigh, meetings always bored him making it easy to drift off to other, more exciting topics. Its not that he disliked being firelord, no he loved being the one to give his land, and his people hope that theres still good in the land of fire. Never would he ever allow himself to become like his father. Chuckling lightly as he walked through the garden of his palace, he remembered a promise he had his friend Aang make to him. "if I start acting like my father even the slightest bit...I want you to destroy me" it took a bit for Aang to agree, but he eventually nodded, agreeing to the promise.
Taking a seat by the turtleduck pond, Zuko watched the mother turdleduck swim with it's babies, picturing his mother giving them pieces of bread with that sweet smile she always had. He was glad he'd found her, even as an adult and the lord of a large nation....he was still a little boy lost in the dark, begging for his mother to save him. But now he knew she was safe, which lifted much of the darkness from his heart.
