Personal History
Sir Bélethorn Creuss was born as the eldest son of Sir Galahad and lady Muriel of Aras. Born a knight, he was raised to be a warrior like all the men of his family. His father taught him to be fair and just, strong and chivalrous. He spent his childhood learning all the things young soon-to-be knights used to learn, like reading, writing, sword fighting, riding and such. His future looked bright.
Then disaster stroke. Bélethorn's younger brother died in mysterious ways, and everyone believed he might have been poisoned. Nobody found his murderer though, and Bélethorn had to put his thirst for revenge aside and help his parents through the tragedy.
Later on, Bélethorn's parents found a spouse for him, the beautiful lady Isabel of Aras. His betrothed Lady Isabel was a young girl, only 13 years of age, but she had a sweet and winning personality. Her girlish charm made Bélethorn melt for her, but her youth and her clear admiration for his childhood friend Baldric kept him from making her his wife. He wanted to see the development of her and Baldric's relationship, and, if their feelings grew stronger, he would suggest a marriage between her and Baldric instead. The further events of the year, however, kept Bélethorn so busy that he did not have time to reveal his plans.
That winter Aras was attacked by fierce enemies, using brutal force and evil magic to defeat the people of Aras. Those who didn't flee were brutally murdered. Sir Bélethorn fought bravely in the war. Of all the 500 men defending the castle he was the last man standing. When he had killed his last attacker, he turned around, only to find that he was the only resident of the castle still alive. His parents were killed by the enemies, and sadly, so was the lovely lady Isabel.
Sir Bélethorn laid his family to rest under the lovely cherry tree, Isabel's favorite tree, and placed a cross on their graves. When this was done, Sir Bélethorn left Aras, trying to get as far away from the war as he possibly could.
