"The folks atop the ladder are the ones the world adores.
So boost me up my ladder, kid. And I'll boost you up yours!
Let's just snog together, like the princeton crew. When you're
kissing Papa, Papa's kissing you."
"Ahhhhh-hooo-hooo-hoooy!"
So boost me up my ladder, kid. And I'll boost you up yours!
Let's just snog together, like the princeton crew. When you're
kissing Papa, Papa's kissing you."
He wished the pole he'd been climbing to get to the palace balcony was a ladder. It'd save him the time and the effort of wearing himself out; then again, there was humor in that lyric he trilled not too long ago thanks this unsavory routine. What made the climb worthwhile was not the sour look on his boss' face when he spotted the dust on his vest after such visits but the smile that played like a song on her lips. He'd employ that article of clothing to support himself when making the trip upwards due to the surprisingly sturdy material he so often gripped. Just when he managed to reach the top, expecting to capture the other's lips with his own, from out of the blue came a face that didn't belong to his beautiful love interest. Instead, it belonged to his friend's squeaky-voiced aunt. "I don't think Chien Po would like that," Princess Su giggled, slapping him across the face with a fan. The shock was too great and within seconds did he falter and plummet to his doom as all of ancient China heard his cries of horror,
"Ahhhhh-hooo-hooo-hoooy!"
It also set off a massive avalanche that was no where near the kingdom, but must of buried the corpses of huns even deeper into the snow because that scream was loud. In seconds, a string of complications would ensue and his pleasant visits would surely come to an end. He was sure he'd erupt like a soft tomato once he smacked right into the floor. He knew something like this would happen, though; it was never safe to climb up a pole and expect not to fall. But she was a gem, and someone he seriously could relate to, which was weird to say. She was many things other women weren't and that was what attracted him to her in the first place. Oh, how desperately he tried to keep their visits secret. Originally, he intended to speak to her parents and introduce himself the proper way, like his mother advised; but she had stopped him from doing so because something in her gut told her that Milu would be out the door in a millisecond. Now here he was, about to die. Aloha, World. He imagined the look on his mother's face upon being given the news of his untimely death -- and in ancient China, no less. Nani would ressurect him and kill him again if she could. She told him more times than one never to use the machine. Of course, he never listened.
