Esmeralda laughed when she saw the lion's sly smile, wrapping her scarf around his neck and pulling him into a kiss. "I am lucky to have such a sweet and gentle husband who is willing to watch me change into one gown after the other while he patiently waits for me to decide which one to buy. I feel safe that nobody dares to look at me in the dressing room when I have you to protect me. Besides, you and I are twin souls. I feel lost and lonely when you are not with me."
Elietta giggled when she heard her mother calling her father an adorable ball of fluff, her eyes twinkling with suppressed mirth when he spoke of the days he was the most feared hunter in the land. "Oh, but you can still look scary, Daddy," she replied, winking at Haidar and trying to look cordial. "For instance the one time when you and Mother played "catch the gypsy" in the bedroom and Haidar and I walked in on you.... I still have nightmares about it..."

Elietta looked relieved when Katara assured her that she didn't have to leave with Tulio. She giggled when Katara explained that she only needed to make Tulio think she would leave with him. "Aha," she grinned. "That sounds fun, and if it works so we can get a revenge for my sweet little brother, nothing could be better. I hope Haidar is out there to see this, because I wish him to enjoy his revenge."
"Oh, you won't leave before you get a kiss?" she said out loud, giggling as she saw how well Katara mimicked her words. "Well, it looks like I don't have a choice. Alright then, I will give you ONE kiss - but only if you dance the Hamster dance. And you have to sing the song and make the squeaks loud so I can hear them all the way up here..."
The gypsy girl giggled as she said this, having to press her hand towards her mouth to silence the sound.
Down on the ground Tulio was CERTAIN that Elietta had given in - until he heard her demands. "The WHAT dance?" he asked.
"The Hamster dance," Elietta repeated from her hiding place. "The one you made my brother dance in front of the whole village. It seems you are very fond of that dance, so I thought it would be fun for you to dance it...."
Tulio gulped and looked nervously around. He was fully aware that the entire village would see him if he started dancing here. "But Signorina..." he protested.
"No buts," Elietta replied. "Do you want the kiss or not?"
Tulio looked nervous now, and glanced around him again. "Yes, I do, but..."
"Then DANCE!" Elietta almost barked, and Tulio realized he had no choice if he was to win the lady's favors.
With clumsy dance moves imitating the moves of a hamster, Tulio danced the Hamster dance, singing out loudly the silly words and squeaked as loudly as he could. Elietta was taking a sneak peak from behind the curtains, pressing a pillow against her face to muffle her laughter.
