Maurice smiled as Saben warned him about the long walk. "I know already, Sir," he replied with a smile. "Master Evan told me too. But I am used to long walks and hard work from the orphanage. I am in pretty good shape for my age."
Oliver smiled to the men who showed him friendliness, chatting with them as he helped them in their chores. When Master Saben called for him, the boy came over to his side, his big eyes beaming with happiness. "I would love to help, Sir. I promise to do anything you say, even if I have no previous experience. I'm a fast learner."
Maurice smiled and turned to Saben. "It seems like it's settled then," he said. "When do we start?"

Wild listened to the Queen as she spoke to her through the mind, nodding when she heard her words of wisdom and smiled touched when the Queen called her dear one. It had been so long since last time anyone found her dear. I thank you for your wise words, my Queen, she said. It is true I do not yet know your enemy, but I expect to learn with time. I will be careful with my attachments as you say, even pretend not to know them if need be.
She smiled when she looked back at her life as a baby. The man who claimed her as his grandchild took her in her arms. The first thing she did when he held her, was to curl up the lower part of her tiny body and looking at her mother's parents with a devilish look in her eyes. One moment after, her tiny bottom sent a fountain of brown goo in her grandparent's general direction. She smiled toothlessly as the elder Light elves were covered in brownish goo, their shocked face expressions causing both her father and Grandfather Oakenshield to roar with laughter. "I love this kid!" Oakenshield said, his face beaming with pride over his little grandchild.
Like Queen Radella, Wild didn't feel the presence of her animal form just yet. She did feel a presence though, of a strong, tall Dark Elf, with long, dark hair and glowing, dark eyes. She had seen him on the family portraits in her childhood home, and knew he was another of her ancestors, from her father's bloodline this time. His name was Gaeleath, and he was the most famous Elven Warrior in the history of Mir - the legends about him still alive after all the centuries since his death. Wild wondered if his spirit too had helped watching over her in the orphanage, even if he had not showed himself. The reason why he showed himself now, she assumed, was because Radella's magic allowed him to do so. Wild herself had no magic powers, and she knew it.
Wild followed Radella's memories with interest, smiling as she saw the giddy elf maiden. She knew that she and Radella would be great friends with time, for the two women were very similar of nature. The sights of Blaz as a child caused the girl to smile. He was the sweetest baby she had ever seen, and a secret part of her heart wondered if she and Blaz would get married one day, and if they did - would their children look like him? She was certain he would train his children one day too, like his father had trained him. She was a bit sad that Radella's husband was no longer alive - she was certain that she would have liked him as much as she liked Radella, and they looked so happy together.
At the end of the session she wondered if she had a spirit animal form - or if it was just wishful thinking. But just when she was about to give up, she heard a soft, rhythmic sound, almost like a purr. A pair of golden/greenish eyes appeared in the shadows, and she saw a catlike figure vanishing into the darkness. Then the sight disappeared and Wild looked up at Radella again.
"A cat-like animal," she said quietly, afraid to interrupt something with her words. "But what kind of cat? I never saw anything like it..."
Wild listened as Radella explained the last part of the ritual. She made a tiny grimace as the Queen cut her finger, but she didn't make a sound. When the blood fell onto the stone, Wild watched with interest. She had never been part of a magic ritual before, and this was new and exciting. She didn't speak as Radella spoke the ritual words, afraid that she might ruin the magic moment. As the stone solidified she watched the dull white color dotted with black spots, her eyes widening in childlike wonder. The stone almost seemed alive, and she could almost swear she had heard it purr...
When the Queen offered her the necklace, Wild reached out and touched the stone gently, as a silent token of respect. "Thank you," she said quietly, her dark eyes sparkling with joy. "Please help me on with it?" She moved her hair aside to make it easier to put the necklace around her neck, nodding as she listened to the Queen's words. "I remember Ardis said it would take a bit of training to master it in the start. I hope I will get a little help until I get used to it... Luckily I have experienced Kamalli warriors with me. I will work hard and do all the training you feel is needed before I use it like the rest of you."
