She closed her eyes, rather displeased , and everything he seemed to splatter onto her face made her shudder dearly. How he was a better makeup artist than her made the youth wonder how she roped in such peculiar male friends, and momentarily did she puff her cheeks as she found herself losing air. The powder he dusted over her tanned complexion faded the color she was proudly born with and left behind a strange smell she just couldn't shake off.
"I'd rather take a on Chinese sunburn than this!" she moaned as Ling later tormented her with the latest fashion statement of his time. Her eyes nearly bulged as the sash around her full waist squeezed the life out of her, forcing Nani to arch her back further in order to relieve the massive discomfort the pull caused. If she looked over her shoulder, she was sure to witness a foot on her back, but she, quite frankly, didn't give a damn as she gasped like a fish out of water.
"Couldn't - ungh - we just talk to your family like normal people? Oh, wait, it's you two. And what makes you so sure I'm going to follow through with your little plan, Ling? This is not going to end well, you know." she suggested this wisely, gripping a tall tree as she struggled to catch her breath. She loved the soft-blue colors of her robe, but hated the sashfor obvious reasons. How the heck did Esmeralda wear that corset and still function properly? She was silenced as she saw, not too far from where they hid in the woods, his beautiful home and a strangely handsome figure patrolling the modest land.
"You don't expect me to introduce myself looking like this, do you?" she asked flatly, not meaning to insult the cultural standard of beauty in Ancient China, but she knew more than anyone that she was more clown than matchmaker material at this point.
