A mother and a father with great plans for tonight, celebrating without a reason to, only because they felt like it. A child of five or so climbed onto the chair and couldn't help but lend an ear to their appetizing suggestions, all of which sounded nice except for one particular side dish that made the infant very sad. They wondered why she had her tubby face in her hands and frowned so fiercely when they listed down their menu choices. Beady eyes squinted with distaste as the owner of such eyes sank even lower into her seat. "Nani, is there something you'd like add to tonight's menu?" the youth's kindly father asked.
Nani nodded slowly and grabbed a spoon to give the wooden table a few light but stern taps, like some sort of honorable judge. "Salad is ruining my life. I think we should go for a more libarial (liberal, but this was how she could pronounce it at the time) approach." Their offspring drawled, her features brighter than it had been before. Her parents looked stern but playful as they jested along with her.
"What do you t'ink we should do?" her father asked, coaxing her to continue.
She stared at them long and hard - as if making a decision that could possibly put an end to world hunger and stop all wars on religion.
"Pizza with sour gummy worms on top. And maybe some human toe jam on the side to keep away the greens. . . " She said this happily as she slowly slid off the chair and walked straight back to her room without another word to utter. The only adults in the room could only stare before giving each other that look.
"She got that from your side of the family." Her husband told his somewhat embarrassed wife..
